A remake of the classic 1999 penguin ski game, Tux Racer features a variety of challenging courses and options. As you win races, you can unlock new tracks and cups that lead to even more intense challenges. There are different weather conditions, too--you'll need to be fast, smart, and lucky to make it across the finish line.

Developed in 2000, this open-source winter sports racing video game starring the Linux mascot was a hit among Linux users and free software enthusiasts. The game was also available on Mac and is considered a classic in the world of open-source gaming. It's not a program that's going to push your RTX capable video card to the limits, but it is fun and a great way to pass the time.
